Based on a performative study that discuss, develop and stage practices and performance regarding ageing that highlights stereotypical and normative narratives of ageing, not only a part of dance but also of western everyday culture. The artistic study involved two stages. The first stage was a collaboration between five co researchers: Peter Lagergren, Ulrika Liljedahl, Pipsa Poukka, Åsa N. Åström and Yvette van der Slik. Through autobiography and improvisation, as theory and method, artistic methodologies were developed and practised. The second stage of the artistic research process used the empirical data coming from the first stage of the study in conjunction with text from A dreamplay by August Strindberg. Collaborators during the second stage of the process was Peter Lagergren, Kid Falk, Sigal Zouk and Erik Häusler.
